I often think this year may be the fake news, something that has come into the currency of our language. Fake news fake news has become so ingrained in every aspect of our lives in terms of how we consume our media and understanding our political discord in the large decisions we make as a country Going Forward. This is cnn tonight. Im don lemon. Just past 11 00 p. M. Here on the east coast. On a night when this country has passed a grim milestone. More than 3 million recorded cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, and more than 132,000 deaths. And listen to this staggering number. Today alone more than 50,000 new cases reported across the nation. The virus spiking in 35 states. And whats President Trump doing as the pandemic spirals out of control . Well, he is feuding with dr. Anthony fauci and the cdc. Fauci was sidelined from todays press briefing by the White House Coronavirus task force and the white house refuses to say if trump still has confidence in fauci. Trump also lashing out at the cdcs guidelines for safely reopening schools. Calling them too tough and expensive. And threatening to cut off funds to schools that dont reopen by the fall. Someone in the white house needs to remind him that the bulk of Public School funding comes from state and local governments. Lets discus
Were going to play some of it for you, but not knowing what hes talking about, listen, not knowing what youre talking about, using hyperbole, right, and embellishing things, okay, thats one thing. According to the New York Times, the president paid just 750. Not 750,000. But 2k7s 50 in the year he won the white house in his first year as our president. It revealed that for the last 5 years the president has paid no taxes for ten years, apparently because he did not earn enough money to pay taxes on his income. But the details of his tax and his wealth and the nature of his Business Empire is laid out in this mammoth report as to whether or not hes the business man he has claimed to be.
