Reviving the lost art of listening to a full album of music is at the heart of a new virtual show that producers at Cape Rep Theatre hope will launch a series.
“The Vinyl Sessions” will premiere Saturday night with a show celebrating the 50th anniversary of Carole King’s landmark 1971 album “Tapestry.” The show will feature performances of each of the album’s songs in order by local stars familiar to the Brewster theater’s audiences.
The show can be watched on YouTube or the company website anytime after the show’s 7 p.m. Saturday debut. Viewing is free, but donations in these troubled times for the arts are very welcome.
