I urge anyone with any information about this incident to contact the police. A spokesman for the council said: “This is a grotesque example of vandalism and criminal damage within a cemetery. “Anyone who thinks it is okay to fire raise within a place of remembrance and damage headstones in this way can only be described as morally bankrupt. “We urge anyone who has any information on this appalling incident to contact the police.”
