It happened Nov. 1, 2019, at the Hampton Inn in the 2000 block of Ronald Reagan Drive. Authorities say the shootout stemmed from a night of gambling inside of a hotel room. That night of gambling included craps and betting on a Madden video game, officials said, in which thousands of dollars exchanged hands. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said Monday three men arrived at the hotel room shortly before 10 p.m. in an attempt to rob the people inside. 6 people indicted in 2019 hotel room robbery, shootout that left 2 dead WCPO file and last updated 2021-01-05 19:43:42-05 CINCINNATI — Six people were indicted Monday on charges stemming from a 2019 shootout at a Hampton Inn that left two people, including a teenager, dead. “This was a shoot-out situation,” said Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters in a news release. “The people who set up the illegal gambling operation were armed and the people who attempted to rob the operation came armed as well a chaotic scene.” On the evening of Nov. 1, 2019, Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the hotel on Ronald Reagan Drive for a report of a person shot.
