we re very happy that all-american people, specifically washington, are enjoying this. it s nice to see them walking under the cherry blossom tree, and it makes us feel very good. can you give us a little bit of the history of how it came together, why it was seen as a special endeavor. the first lady of the 27th president of the united states wanted to beautify the tidal basin. she wanted to have musical concerts near the tidal basin. she was asking for suggestions, and her friend, a traveler and writer, suggested to bring japanese cherry trees, plant them. so tokyo city gave 2,000 trees. first try, it was not successful. and the second try, 3,000 trees was planted on march 27th, 2012, and we were very happy that the first lady, michelle
