코빗 등 가상화폐 거래소를 운영하는 가상자산사업자가 고객 모르게 약관을 변경할 수 있거나, 사업자의 모든 책임을 면제하는 내용의 엉터리 이용약관을 이용해온 것으로 드러났다.
이번 심사는 최근 가상자산 이용자가 급증하고 불법행위 증가로 투자자 피해 우려가 제기됨에 따라 시행된 직권조사다. 조사대상은 특정 금융거래정보의 보고 및 이용 등에 관한 법률 에 따라 ISMS(Information Security Management System, 정보보호관리체계) 인증을 획득한 16개 사업자다.
