The Japan-China Economic Association has dispatched a delegation to China almost every year since 1975, but due to the influence of the new coronavirus, the visit was postponed until the fall of 2019. If the visit is realized, it will be the first time in four years and four months, but difficult coordination is likely to be required amid concerns about a cooling of Japan- China relations. Japan requested that they exchange views with Xi Jinping's leadership and high-ranking officials in charge of economic affairs of the government.
