Ground-breaking Australian innovation to convert prime mover fleets to electric power and deliver zero-emissions

Janus Electric’s general manager Janus Electric has solved the scale, price-point and battery technology challenge for conversion to electric.” Lex Forsyth BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, May 4, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ Janus Electric’s world first patented exchangeable battery will revolutionise the road transport industry with the first proto-type - an electric converted Kenworth T403 - being unveiled at the Brisbane Truck Show 13-16 May 2021. Developed by professional engineers led by co-founder Bevan Dooley and transport operators, Janus batteries remove the need for heavy electric vehicles to plug in and charge for 12 hours. Instead, the revolutionary solution can be swapped out in three minutes with a ready-to-go battery, thereby increasing vehicle utilisation.

Electric Battery Trucks With Interchangeable Batteries Are Coming

Image: Getty Images An Australian company is set to trial electric trucks with interchangeable batteries, which will allow virtually non-stop travel for heavy commercial vehicles traveling along Australia’s east coast. If successful, the trial could be literally game-changing for the transport industry, and for the fate of electric vehicles in Australia. Prior to the interchangeable battery trial, trucks were required to plug in and charge for up to 12 hours at a time, which is understandably inconvenient for freight transportation. The batteries – developed by NSW-based company Janus Electric – can be swapped in three minutes, which is less time than it takes to duck into the servo for a toilet break.
