you had back in january 60 some percent of them who approved of your job performance and now in july, 47% of those same women approve of your job performance. will this appearance have an impact on women liking the president more? no, i think that s my whole point. what both men and women are responding to is if you re a mother and your child can t find a job. if you re a woman who is out looking for a job yourself and you can t find a job, if you re worried that the company you work for may go broke, you know, what you d like to have the president do is fix the real problems, not just be a pleasant talk show celebrity. we have lots of talk show celebrities. we only get one president. and the president ought to focus on being president. and last i checked, 12-year-old boy scouts don t vote. so he had the choice, go there, go there. that s a great american tradition, though. both of my daughters were girl scouts. i was a boy scout. i think it s very helpful to have the president
