The Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit reported on Friday more than 20 new COVID-19 cases for the third straight day.
Following 22 positive results on Wednesday and 23 on Thursday, the HNHU was reporting on Friday 25 new cases in the past 24 hours.

Active cases in the area also continue to climb. There are now 138 active cases in the two communities, up from 118 on Wednesday and 129 on Thursday.
Since the pandemic began last March, 1,772 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Haldimand-Norfolk, with 1,590 of those resulting in recovered cases.

Outbreaks listed on the HNHU website only include long term care and retirement homes. Schools and other workplaces are not included in the outbreak number.
An outbreak at Parkview Meadows was declared on April 1, with one positive case in a staff member.
An outbreak at Anson Place was declared on April 2, with one positive case in a staff member.
An outbreak at Armstrong Milling Co. in Hagersville was declared by the health unit on April 6. No information regarding the number of cases was released.
An outbreak was declared at McKinnon Park Secondary School in Caledonia. News of the second COVID-19 case at McKinnon Park came on April 3. The first case was identified on April 2. The school remains open for those who were not close contacts.

The Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit continues to see large increases in its daily new COVID-19 cases.
After reporting 22 positive results on Wednesday, the HNHU was reporting on Thursday an additional 23 cases in the past 24 hours.
