ONE Championship founder and CEO Chatri Sityodtong lauded Filipino-American muay thai fighter Jackie Buntan for an impressive debut in the Singapore-based promotion.
In a lengthy Facebook post Saturday, Feb. 27, Sityodtong commended all the fighters who participated in ONE: Fists of Fury at the Singapore Indoor Stadium Friday night, Feb. 26, but spared a huge shoutout and congratulatory message to Buntan.
“For me, I was most impressed with Jackie Buntan,” wrote Sityodtong. “She delivered a highly technical performance with outstanding precision, speed, and power against one of Thailand’s best Muay Thai champions in Wonder Girl.”

Atomweight No. 1 fighter Denice Zamboanga is rooting for Wondergirl Fairtex, her former teammate, over Filipino-American striker Jackie Buntan.
“She (Wondergirl) is a very strong and very dedicated fighter. Her work ethic is exemplary. She always comes into camp motivated. As a fighter, she’s long and athletic, and packs a lot of power,” said the undefeated Zamboanga, who holds an 8-0 mixed martial arts record including three straight wins in ONE Championship.
