Chris Jepson and Margaret Hadderman plant seeds from the Southwest New Mexico Seed Library. The mission of the group, which Jepson now leads, is “to nurture a community of growers and seed stewards to grow and exchange seeds to increase the food security of southwest New Mexico and strive for seed sovereignty.”
If you like saving a little money on grocery bills, doing your part to preserve home agricultural traditions, helping sequester some carbon in response to global warming, or you just want to get outside and enjoy the southwestern New Mexico weather, a garden is the place to be.
