They are here to celebrate the first birthday of bao bao. It is a big, big deal. As you remember maybe just a year ago bao bao was about as big as a stick of butter. Lets take a peek at bao bao today. About 44 pounds. Heres why this is such a big deal. Bao bao is only the second panda born at the zoo to reach their first birthday. Shes grown up from about a stick of butter to more than 40 pounds. Bao bao means precious, means treasure.
