After spending 10 years working on Parliament Hill, National Revenue Minister Diane Lebouthillier’s director of communications and parliamentary affairs Janick Cormier is leaving politics. Cormier announced that she would be moving on from political life in a LinkedIn post, lamenting on her journey on the Hill that took her from being a tour guide to a senior staffer.

Noting the stress of the job, and that she spent her entire adult career on the Hill, Cormier said: “This decision was not an easy one… But I know I’m making the right call. It’s no secret that the last 14 months have been incredibly challenging and I’m honestly completely exhausted. It’s time to move on to something else (hopefully a little less stressful) and take care of me!”
