MEMPHIS, Tenn. Many have been wondering what will happen to the Malco theater in Hickory Hill.
Well, there are big plans underway and we re telling you all about it.
It is vacant now.
“You’ve got sticks. I’ve got a match. Together, we’re going to make a fire,” said Marie Pizano, MVP3 CEO.
It s a fire that will be blazing into a new era for the Malco Majestic Cinema in Hickory HIll.
Pizano s company, MVP3, is behind this $50 million redevelopment project.
“It’s 20 years in the making. It’s about time we shake, rattle, and roll again in Memphis,” said Pizano.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. The Museum of Science & History the Pink Palace debuted their Dinosaurs in Motion exhibit Saturday afternoon.
Dinosaurs in Motion is an interactive experience built for visitors of all ages.
The science-driven exhibit engages and educates visitors with 14 magnificent, fully interactive recycled metal dinosaur sculptures.
The sculptures feature exposed mechanics inspired by actual fossils. There are two parts of the exhibit. One is about the science of dinosaurs, and the other part is about the sculptor and making kinetic sculptures, said Steve Masler, manager of the exhibits. So, there are examples upstairs of how the wires work and what type of wires need to be used.

MEMPHIS, Tenn UPDATE 1/5/2021 - A man is behind bars, charged in a deadly shooting this weekend in southeast Memphis.
Alfonzo Buford is charged with first-degree murder and especially aggravated kidnapping.
According to the police affidavit, a man who was supposed to work on a vacant property on Flowering Peach arrived Saturday morning and found a man in a pull of blood. The victim, who was dead, was later identified Broderick Moore of Greenwood, Mississippi.
The police affidavit said Moore s wife told them the night before about midnight, her husband called asking her to bring a large amount of money and drugs to a gas station on Mendenhall in Memphis. She said she called him when she got there, and he told her to put it by a dumpster, and wait for him at a nearby McDonald s, but he never show
