SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has sanctioned an ex-gratia amount of Rs 5 lakh for the kin of the Udhampur man who was tragically killed by militants in the Janglat Mandi area of Anantnag district in south Kashmir.
Deepu Kumar, who worked at a circus in the district's Janglat Mandi area, was gunned down by Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, leaving his poor family without its sole breadwinner.
Killed by terrorists on Monday evening in the Anantnag district of Kashmir Valley, Deepak Kumar alias Deepu was the lone bread earner for the family. His elder brother had lost both of his eyes a couple of years back and his father is bedridden.
