Since New Year’s Day, more than 300 laws have taken effect in Illinois. To read a list of all the laws click here. Below are some of the highlights. The minimum wage was increased from $13 per hour to $14 per hour, $8.40 for tipped workers. In 2025 the minimum wage will increase again.
"With this new minimum wage increase, we are once again making Illinois a more affordable and equitable place to live for all of our residents," said Gov. J.B. Pritzker.
