Udupi, Jan 12: “Gram panchayat members should work hard to get majority seats in the upcoming zilla panchayat and taluk level elections. The victory in the elections will help in providing basic infrastructure facilities to the panchayat. I am confident that the upcoming local body elections will be won by majority seats, said state rural development and panchayat raj minister K S Eshwarappa.
He was speaking after inaugurating Janasevaka Samavesha at Amrith Garden, near LVT Udupi here on Tuesday, January 12.

Raising the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi issue ahead of the elections to the zilla and taluk panchayats, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayatraj K.S. Eshwarappa said on Monday that Sri Krishna temple will be built at Mathura.
Addressing the Janasevaka Samavesha of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at BC Road in Dakshina Kannada, the Minister said that he is making it clear that as a next step after Ayodhya, where the temple for Sri Ram is being built now, “Sri Krishna temple will be built at Mathura in the coming days at any cost.”
Yediyurappa sets target of winning 140 to 150 Assembly seats

AAA Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa has called upon workers of the BJP to strengthen the party’s organisation so that it can retain power after the next Assembly elections without depending on the support of others. Setting a target of winning 140 to 150 seats in the 2023 polls, he declared that he would tour the State soon to galvanise the workers.
Speaking after inaugurating a special meeting of the State unit of BJP in Shivamogga on Sunday, Mr. Yediyurappa said, “I will also travel across all districts from next week and hold meetings with workers.”
