The Western Illinois University School of Agriculture, and the University Union Board, will host the fourth annual Food. Family. Farming. Football BBQ Competition, beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, and held during tailgating in Q-Lot, to celebrate WIU Family Day, ahead of the WIU football team s first home game of the season.
After starting her academic career at a larger university and finding it did not fit her needs, Western Illinois University Alumna, Ashley Whiteside, knew she wanted to find a smaller, more personalized learning experience. In pursuit of this, she transferred to WIU.

Remote learning, hybrid teaching and virtual activities are only a few of the changes made to the usual teaching style of an educator this year. Dean Dittmar and Ann Piotrowski say that Illinois agricultural instructors choose to make the most out of the adjustments made by the COVID-19 pandemic.
