Jaroslaw Kaczynski Ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski is reportedly unwilling to back off from the proposals included in the draft media bill despite a threat of repercussions for PiS top officials from the US, the daily Gazeta Wyborcza found out.
The party is allegedly trying to convince some of the nationalist Konfederacja MPs to vote in favor of the bill to secure parliamentary majority, unnamed sources told the daily.
Junior coalitionist Porozumienie (Accord) will not endorse the bill in its current shape, the party s deputy head Jan Strzezek reiterated in an interview for the daily Rzeczpospolita.
