New homes, quality supports for Innisfail seniors
The governments of Alberta and Canada are funding new housing that offers Innisfail seniors both independent and supportive living options.

Two aging seniors residences were demolished to make way for the new Autumn Grove development – an integrated seniors independent and supportive living facility with 60 seniors lodge units and 30 seniors apartment units.
The total project created about 175 jobs.
Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Minister responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Ahmed Hussen, and Seniors and Housing Minister Josephine Pon marked the grand opening of the new Autumn Grove homes for seniors. The governments of Alberta and Canada provided $24 million for the Autumn Grove project.
Albertans have made great strides towards bending the curve and reducing hospitalizations. COVID-19 remains a serious threat, so Albertans are asked to continue following public health measures.

Before I provide today’s update, I would like to explain the why Alberta Health has concerns about the proposal to amend the Pfizer vaccine label to indicate that each vial contains 6 doses.
We are committed to safely and effectively using all vaccines the way they are packaged for use.
Public health measures remain in place provincewide. Stay home when sick, get tested and follow all the other measures to protect others and the health-care system.
