Jamshedpur/Bokaro/Koderma: Within hours of arriving at Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Airport, vials of the Covishield vaccine started reaching the districts on Wednesday, with East Singhbhum, Bokaro and Ranchi districts (which recorded the maximum number of Covid cases) being the first ones to receive the consignments.
In East Singbhum, which received 800 vials for its 8,000 health workers who registered themselves for the inoculation, the vaccines were stored at the cold chain point in Sakchi.
“Preparations have been completed for the transportation of the vials from the Sakchi store to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital, (MGMMCH), Tata Main Hospital, (TMH), sadar hospital, Pursudih, Urban Health Centre, (Birsanagar) and the community health centres in Baharagora, Ghatshila, Potka and Patamda,” additional chief medical officer Dr Sahir Pal said.
