Div Com inspects Jammu Ropeway Project Phase 2nd All set to start commercial operations

JAMMU, Apr 29: The second phase of Jammu Ropeway Project from Maha Maya Temple to Peer Kho is all set to start commercial operations as all the major works have been completed.
It was informed during the visit of Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer to the site for inspection of the final works.
Pertinently, the 1.66-km-long cable car project has two phases, first from Bahu Fort to Mahamaya Park and the second from Mahamaya to Peer Kho over the Tawi river. Phase 1st has already been thrown open to the public on July 27, 2020. A total of 2100 passengers till date have taken ride on the phase 1st of the ropeway.

JAMMU, Feb 22: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today convened a meeting to review ongoing projects of Tourism Department.
Advisor said that LG has called for major up gradation of existing infrastructure of Jammu Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation and the same needs to be done at the earliest to cater to the increasing number of tourist influx.
He had a detailed assessment of the robust development plan worth Rs 198 crore for Mansar which has been submitted to Government of India, to be funded under Swadesh Darshan Scheme. Besides, some of the works have already been sanctioned under Capex budget which included development of view points along Sidhra-Mansar and Samba-Mansar routes, construction of gender-based toilets, procuring boats, life jackets and installation of high power illumination etc. A detailed lis
