The Central government in a fresh affidavit on Monday vehemently defended its move of abrogating Article 370, which had given the erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir a special status

The petitioners placed reliance on a judgment of the Supreme Court which held that the High Court must ascertain whether any part of the cause of action arose in jurisdiction.
