The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday claimed to have attached multiple properties of Farooq, including three residences in Kashmir and Jammu worth Rs 11.86 crore, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized 3 residential houses in Jammu & Kashmir, a commercial building in Srinagar, 4 lands in J&K totaling to ₹ 11.86 Crores of Farooq Abdullah (83), former Chief Minister of J&K under PMLA in a case of laundering of funds of Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association.
Abdullah had one property each at Gupkar Road, Srinagar, Tehsil Katipora, Tanmarg and Bhatindi in Jammu. We have attached six properties of Abdullah in which three are residential buildings while two are plots. The properties have been attached under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA),” said an ED source.

ED attaches assets worth Rs 12 cr of former J&K CM Farooq Abdullah in money laundering case
Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached properties of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah valued around Rs 11.86 crores under PMLA in connection with the laundering of funds of Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
The attached properties include three residential houses, one at Gupkar Road, Srinagar; one at Tehsil Katipora, Tanmarg, and one at Bhatindi in Jammu; commercial buildings at posh Residency Road area of Srinagar, ED said.

Srinagar: The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday attached property worth Rs 11.86 crore of Farooq Abdullah, National Conference president and Member parliament, under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), officials said.
The ED action is in connection with laundering of funds of Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), the officials said.
The attached properties includes three residential houses one at Gupkar Road, Srinagar, one at Tehsil Katipora, Tanmarg, and one at Bhatindi, Village Sunjwan, (Jammu) besides commercial buildings at Residency Road area of Srinagar. Part from it, lands at four different places in J&K have also been attached.
“During investigations it is disclosed that out of the attached properties the residence and land of Dr Farooq Abdullah at Gupkar Road and commercial buildings at Residency Road, at prime upmarket locations, are basically State lands obtained on lease,” ED said in a statement, adding, “ It was also disclosed that the attache
