Oxford City Council drops investigation into Jamila Azad vaccination

Jamila Azad A COUNCILLOR who travelled to Birmingham to receive a Covid jab will not be investigated by Oxford City Council. Jamila Azad, a city and county councillor for St Clements, had written in a now-deleted Facebook she had a Covid jab from a private care doctor but later said she had used the wrong wording. She was cleared of wrongdoing by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the police, and the NHS in Birmingham. Now, Oxford City Council has said it will not further investigate a complaint about the jab, which took place in Birmingham. A spokesman for the council said: “Our head of law and governance has considered the matter and determined that Councillor Jamila Azad was not acting in her capacity as a councillor at the time of the incident, and therefore the code of conduct was not engaged and the council has no jurisdiction in the matter.”
