When I found out my friend Jamie Toohey was running for selectperson in my town of Waterford, I thought that was great. She will do a wonderful job for our community.
I then started to think what it was about Jamie that made me say “great.” Certainly her background in finance and education as well as her years of community service in the Oxford Hills make her a sound candidate, but what came to my mind first was her personality. Jamie loves people and cares about them.
If one reaches out to Jamie with a concern or unresolved issue, she will listen, research and reply. One’s problem will become her problem. She really cares about us and our wonderful town.
