Entrances were changed to create a one-way traffic flow to meet COVID-19 guidelines.  A sign at the Winter Street entrance explained the safety protocols and said the maximum occupancy was 688 people. It was often difficult to stay six feet apart from other shoppers, particularly when standing at individual booths.  Jamie Mata, the owner of the caramel stand Maui Melts, said there was a steady stream of customers all morning. Mata and her sister, Gina Pelletier, were running the booth Saturday. The two live in Monmouth, and while the business is only a year old and doesn t have a brick-and-mortar location, Mata said they have expanded to 50 states with delivery and shipping.
