Sedona Red Rock High School’s boys basketball team knew that the stakes were high heading into its game against Valley Lutheran on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Any chance of making the postseason would have been out the window with a loss. When the game was over, the Red Rock team got the result that it needed.

Sedona Red Rock High School’s boys basketball team hosted Camp Verde on Saturday, Feb. 20, looking to follow up the victory from the girls team with one of their own to sweep the Cowboys. Unfortunately for the Scorpion boys, that was not in the cards.
Unable to get its offense going, Sedona fell behind big in the early going, trailing 32-18 at halftime. Camp Verde built on that lead in the third quarter and went on to hand the Scorpions a 73-46 victory.

After a sluggish loss to Scottsdale Prep in the season opener, Sedona Red Rock High School’s boys basketball team was looking to right the ship and get in the win column against North Pointe Prep in the season’s second game on Friday, Jan. 22. Fortunately for the Scorpions, they did just that.

When looking ahead at the upcoming basketball season, Sedona Red Rock High School senior Jaiah Grondin has varied goals. He hopes that his Scorpions will make the playoffs and do damage there once again. Individually, he wants to rock the rim.
