Ray Birmingham to Retire From Coaching After Spring 2021 Season

Lucero There will be a press conference at Santa Ana Star Field on Monday, April 19 at noon.  Fans are invited and encouraged to attend and can enter Santa Ana Star Field at the main gate located by the Pit West parking lot.  Fans should enter the parking lot via University Blvd. due to the COVID vaccination clinic taking place at The Pit.  Fans in attendance must wear masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines. The press conference will also be streamed at golobos.com/watch. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.  Ray Birmingham, the winningest baseball coach in the state of New Mexico, is retiring after 14 seasons and 406 wins with the Lobo baseball team at the conclusion of the Spring 2021 season, closing out a 43-year career.

Wilson also has a story up on another possible 3B fill-in, Stephenville native Brock Holt. Kennedi Landry has the full slate of pitchers due to take the mound over the first four games of the Rangers’ ST schedule, starting with lefty Wes Benjamin tomorrow afternoon.
