Assault a fiveyearold girl is in custody. The girls mother told me over the phone tonight shes relieved police made an arrest and spliez surprised to learn the suspect is just 15 years old. [ inaudible [ inaudible ] Reporter Police say the 15yearold carried the little girl out of her home on july 28th. Beated, stomped and sexually assaulted her and left her in the back yard under a pile of brush. The teen suspect is known to freak the north philadelphia neighborhood where the attack happened. Hopkins says shes fortunate that her daughter survived the attack and healing from her physical and emotional injuries with the support of family and friends.
