Warren County to Close Government Offices Due to Storm
With the anticipated severity of winter storm Orlena, by Administrative action, Warren County government offices are closed
Monday, February 1, 2021 effective at 7 a.m.
Additionally, the Warren County senior centers are closed for pickup and home-delivered meals programs on Monday, February 1 and Tuesday, February 2. Consumers who are currently receiving senior meals are encouraged to use their backup blizzard boxes and frozen meals that were delivered previously.
All Warren County transportation services will be closed on Monday, February 1, and a delayed started at 12 noon on February 2 is anticipated.

The Morris Canal Greenway has a new bridge, creating an uninterrupted path of about two miles for hiking and biking along a section of the historic former canal on the border of Hackettstown and Allamuchy.

The Morris Canal Greenway has a new bridge, creating an uninterrupted path of about two miles for hiking and biking along a section of the historic former canal on the border of Hackettstown and Allamuchy Township.
The long-awaited $36,000 bridge totals 60 feet and spans a large dip in the mostly level towpath trail where a stream breaches the canal route. Hikers and bicyclists now will have an uninterrupted jaunt of about two miles through the woods from Bilby Road in Hackettstown to Waterloo Road (Route 604) at Saxton Falls in Allamuchy.
Warren County receives first shipment of COVID-19 vaccine

Warren County has received its first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines for its health care workers.
The Moderna vaccine this past week was distributed by the New Jersey Department of Health as part of its first wave of distribution, said Freeholder James R. Kern II, liaison for health and public safety. A news statement by the Warren County Freeholders did not state specifically how many vaccines were received but did state the county expects another shipment next month.
The county, Kern said, will be adhering to state and federal guidance to help vaccinate those fighting the virus on the front lines. EMS personnel and school nurses are expected to be among the first to receive the first round of vaccines, he said.
Warren County extends hours at COVID-19 testing site to meet increased demand

The Warren County COVID-19 Patient Testing Center is staffed by 40 county employees and St. Luke s volunteers. The testing center opened on April 8, 2020, for county residents only. The testing site is located on the campus of Warren County Technical School. Saed Hindash | For lehighvalleylive.com

Increase demand at Warren County’s drive-through COVID-19 testing site means the county will expand the site’s hours and availability of the call center that helps schedule appointments.
The site opened Dec. 1, and offers testing on Tuesdays and Fridays with St. Luke’s University Health Network at the Belvidere Health Center, 187 County Route 519 in White Township.
