The handling unit at Brideswell has a chute with headgate and holding pens. A 73ac grassland farm with a modern cattle yard is one of a number of quality farms due to be sold over the coming weeks by Westmeath auctioneers James L Murtagh. That farm is at Brideswell, Athlone, Co Roscommon. The land is laid out in three separate divisions but they are all close by. This means the farm could be of interest for setting up a new dairy platform, auctioneer Padraig Murtagh says. Half of the land has been reseeded in recent years and is good-quality pasture. The fields are bounded by stone walls and good hedging.
