Congressman Brian Higgins announced two grants totaling nearly $800,000 toward programs promoting campus safety at Niagara University and D Youville University.
As part of its celebration of Vincentian Heritage Week, Niagara University recognized four individuals who exemplify the charity and mission of its patron, St. Vincent de Paul, at its annual convocation, held in the Alumni Chapel on Sept. 28.
Niagara University has agreed to serve as the legacy institution that will preserve student transcripts for the former Medaille University starting October 15.
Not only that, Niagara plans to also house alumni, faculty and athletic records as well as archives and library materials from the small, private school that closed under financial constraints after 148 years this summer.
Niagara University and Medaille University signed a memorandum of understanding outlining an agreement for Niagara University to become the Medaille University legacy institution upon Medaille s permanent closure this fall.
