Lyle Goldstein, research professor at the Naval War College s China Maritime Studies Institute, said the US would likely lose a first fight with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). Washington and Beijing have repeatedly raised tensions with naval drills in disputed Asian waters over the past year, with China enraged over the US’s support of Taiwan and presence in the South China Sea.
Following reports of a large incursion by Chinese warplanes and fighter jets, Taiwan believes China to be embarking on a show of force and intimidation. Taiwan’s defence ministry claims that eight Chinese bomber planes, capable of nuclear activity, four fighter jets, and one anti-submarine aircraft entered Taiwan’s self-declared air defence identification zone on Saturday the 23rd. The following day, 15 aircrafts were involved. On both occasions, Taiwan’s air force warned the unwanted visitors and deployed air defence missile systems to monitor the situation.

Ever since then, Beijing has tried to limit Taiwan’s international activities, and both have vied to extend their influence in the region. Trump s losing the election and having Joe Biden as the head executive, by all means, will be a point for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). According to Ret. Capt. James E. Fanell, former director of intelligence and information operations for the U.S. Pacific Fleet, said that they want Biden to stop the current strategy and adopt Washington s failed policy over it.
