Security Bank taps MUFG for cash management – Manila Bulletin

(MUFG) that will allow MUFG’s corporate clients to gain access to the bank’s cash management system, DigiBanker. In a statement, Security Bank said “The agreement aims to provide MUFG’s clients with products and services that are suited to the domestic front while complementing its current product offerings.” “After months of extensive and fruitful discussions, we are honored to be entering into a Cash Management Partnership Agreement with MUFG,” said Security Bank President and CEO SanjivVohra. He added that, “With this, MUFG’s corporate clients will gain access to the full range of Security Bank’s cash management portfolio. Our partnership is an incredible opportunity for us to take the best of Security Bank and MUFG and raise the bar for financial service excellence in the region.”

PhilWeb invests P730M to expand eBingo

Published March 15, 2021, 7:00 AM PhilWeb Corporation is expanding its electronic bingo (eBingo) business with the P730 million acquisition of electronic eBingo companies and machine suppliers from its shareholder the Palmary Group. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, PhilWeb said it acquired 16 eBingo outlets and two eBingo machine suppliers from the Palmary Group. PhilWeb executed deeds of sale for the acquisition of 100 percent of the total issued capital stocks of 16 eBingo companies for P450 million and two accredited e-bingo machine supplier companies for P280 million.  “With PhilWeb’s growing electronic games business, it now has an expanding, two-fold footprint in the whole electronic gaming sector,” the firm said.

Greenergy buys ABS-CBN s fintech unit U-Pay Digital

Published March 2, 2021, 8:40 AM Greenergy Holdings Inc., the listed firm of businessman Antonio Tiu, continues to beef up its fintech portfolio with the acquisition of 51 percent of ABS-CBN Corporation’s U-Pay Digital Technologies Inc. for P54 million. The move is part of Greenergy’s bold ambition and pivot towards digital transformation to enable the company’s stakeholders and consumers to benefit from a financially inclusive ecosystem. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Greenergy said it has signed an agreement with ABS-CBN and iBayad Online Ventures, Inc. for the acquisition of 51 million fully paid common shares of U-Pay Digital. U-Pay is an e-money issuer and remittance company duly licensed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The transaction is still subject to approvals of pertinent government regulatory agencies.
