Philip Tartaglia was also praised for his work with asylum seekers in the city and the words of comfort he provided during difficult times. Close friends and family will come together today in St Andrew s Cathedral to mourn the loss of the Glasgow man, who lost his life unexpectedly last week following a positive test for Covid-19. In his homily, Bishop Hugh Gilbert, president of the Bishops Conference of Scotland, paid tribute to the 70-year-old, saying the Archbishop had a gift for friendship and family .
