A Mountie who was acquitted of assaulting a Fraser Valley gangster during a 2013 traffic stop is suing the RCMP for its failure to properly investigate the false allegations against him.
Chilliwack RCMP Const. Jeffrey Van Woerden says in his lawsuit that for years, RCMP investigators failed to obtain a videotape of his interaction with the late gangster James Vidal during a roadside stop in November 2013.
