A Pasco County judge denied James Staten's request to be released from jail with no bond and instead lowered the bond from $2.8 million to just over $1 million.
The FDLE said Olympus Pools owner James Staten defrauded 140 victims in multiple counties across Florida. Staten spent between $50,000 and $70,000 monthly on trips and jewelry.
FDLE announced the arrest of James Staten, the owner of Tampa-based Olympus Pools, saying he stole $1.5 million from customers without completing jobs.
