Authorities have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting a Lincoln man.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting a Lincoln man.
LPD says 25-year-old Deontae Rush was arrested Wednesday for first-degree murder in connection to the death of 33-year-old James Shekie.
On Monday, March 1, 2021, at approximately 11:09 a.m., LPD officers responded to a call for service to check an open door in the 4200 block of North 20th St.
Officers found Shekie dead inside the home.
Law enforcement officers with the U.S. Marshals Service apprehended Rush without incident in Chicago.

Authorities have arrested two people in connection to the murder investigation of a Lincoln man.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities have arrested two people in connection to the murder investigation of a Lincoln man.
Lincoln Police arrested 17-year-old Anna Feilen and 31-year-old Marques Moten for conspiracy to commit robbery. They also have obtained an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Deontae Rush for first-degree murder.
The three face charges in connection to the death of 33-year-old James Shekie.
LPD says Shekie was found dead from a gunshot wound in his home in the 4200 block of N. 20th St. on March 1.

Police say the arrests are in connection with the murder of 33-year-old James Shekie.
Police say investigators arrested Shekie’s roommate, 17-year-old Anna Feilen, and her brother, 31-year-old Marques Moten, for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.
Feilen was picked up in the Capital city last Thursday evening.
With the assistance of Council Bluffs Police, LPD investigators arrested Moten in the Bluffs the same evening.
They were arrested without incident.
Lincoln Police say they also have an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Deontae C. Rush for First Degree Murder.
