The woman has not been identified but investigators say that truck driver is cooperating. And developing news, a massive response to a pair of smoky brush fires that erupted in the dry Oakland Hills. Fires broke out near park boulevard and estates drive and drivers being asked to avoid that area tonight. Kpix 5s brian webb tells us fire crews keeping a close watch for any hot spots, brian. San jose police have just confirmed they are investigating an Early Morning homicide. You are looking at the crime scene. We are out there right now. This happened at 2 30 this morning on oakland road. Investigators say they found a woman lying on the street suffering from blunt force trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Ktvu janine de la vega just talked to police as she is talking to them right now about the search for suspects and she is going to give us an update in 30 minutes. The napa earthquake now shaking things up. Tara moriarty is in napa this morning with the reason why the earthquake is forcing dozens of inmates to be transferred.
