Coming to you from my home in washington dc im currently in my office where i do all my work you can see the books behind me. Im also the author of stamped racism, antiracism, and you. I should say on the coauthor of the book. It came about because there is a wonderful great scholar named biebers candy, abhe published a book in 2016 called stamped from the beginning a history of racism and policies he won the National Book award, we met at the National Book award and it was then that ab shortly after that he asked me to somehow translate all this work. He had over 600 pages of scholarship about history he wanted to figure out a way for that book to be translated into something for young ayounger people. After some prodding i eventually said yes and decided to tackle it. Rode at g street, this is as you said in southeast. This happened just behind this row of homes. Theres still an active scene here and we were alerted to this by a fox5 viewer who sent us the video. Take a look at this. Flames lit up the alley behind this row of houses police say inside the burning car they found a body. Its not clear whether it was a man or a woman, but neighbors tell us they heard a blast of gunfire, fire investigators were out here along with the d. C. Police homicide investigators. The car now charred and hallowed out, but the woman who sent us this cellphone video of those flames says that shes here visiting family and she was inside with her children and grandchildren just before seven 30 tonight when this happened. It sowned like big gunshots, and then a big explosion. We all hit the floor for a moment, then my son ventured out and there was a car in the alley sploading.
