Gift of Warmth: Widow grateful for help with heating bills

For one Rochester widow, Community Action Partnership of Strafford County made that difference.
“People get in a situation, like me, losing a spouse – suddenly everything can change and many, like me, are not aware of programs like community action,” said Deborah Nadeau. “What the people of Community Action Partnership of Strafford County did for me is unbelievable. I am going to cry just talking about it, but if telling my story helps them, it’s the least I can do.”
Nadeau, 63, said she applied for and received fuel assistance for the past few years. When the heating system in her mobile home began to fail, she said she learned just how much the CAP staff was willing to do to help her.
