Im eun yang, news4 midday starts right now. Im Megan Fitzgerald in reston where fire broke out at about 6 40 this morning at this townhouse behind me on Purple Sage Court. In Fairfax County firefighters arrived on scene and say they saw flames shooting out of the first floor window that is boarded up. They had to rescue a couple that were upstairs. Were told who dogs and two cats lived inside, unfortunately they did not make it out alive. Investigators tell us this all happened at around 6 40 this morning. They say that this home video was shot by a neighbor, his name is james moran. He said he woke up to sirens, came outside and saw several fire engines on scene battling the blaze. Fairfax county fire official says it took about 40 firefighters nearly an hour to extinguish the flames. Moran says he didnt realize anyone was inside until he saw crews walking up the ladder to the second floor of the home.
