If you are looking for a history lesson, brutal fighting, and a love story all tied up in a neat little package, “Outlaw King” is the film for you. Oh, did I forget to mention the gorgeous Chris Pine, too?
My interest in the movie was somewhat personal. I am a direct descendent of Edward I, King of England. Even though he is always portrayed as a bad guy, I feel a family obligation to root for him. Luckily, I am a descendent of Edward’s son Thomas who doesn’t appear in this film because his son Edward, Prince of Wales, (Billy Howle), is a real nasty guy who you love to hate.
