Subscriber only Member for the Southern Downs James Lister has welcomed the Federal Government s royal commission into veterans suicides, but argued for a number of conditions over fears of a witch hunt . Mr Morrison said the commission would examine all aspects of the Australian Defence Force, including those still at risk of suicide, and take 12 to 18 months to complete. I hope it will be a healing process. I hope it will be a process by which veterans and families can find some comfort, he said. It s not just about the great risk that our Defence Force personnel are put at when they engage in those deployments.

See what your MP had to say in response to the following questions: Do you support voluntary assisted dying? Will you vote in favour of voluntary assisted dying when the legislation comes before the parliament? See where your local MP stands on this sensitive issue.
