James Ledda, 54, also alleges in an amended complaint in his reverse discrimination suit that at St. John Neumann Regional Academy:
African-American students are not held to the same rules of conduct as Caucasian students.
White faculty members and administrators are discouraged from imposing discipline on African-American students they would have on Caucasian students.
A spokesman for the Scranton Diocese said it does not comment on pending litigation. Calls to the school were not returned.
U.S. Middle District Judge Christopher C. Conner last month dismissed Ledda’s suit that stems from his April 1, 2019, firing as social studies department chair at the school but gave him the opportunity to file an amended complaint.
