As of 8 p.m. today, Cleco has restored power to nearly 33,000 of the roughly 43,000 customers who lost power after a second winter storm hit Clecoâs service territory within the same week.
âWeâre making progress,â said James Lass, director of distribution and emergency management. âOur crews are patrolling lines and making repairs as safely and quickly as possible to restore power to our remaining customers.â
Clecoâs damage assessments indicate that power outages from the second winter storm were primarily due to the accumulation of ice.
