Ohio legislature to see bills critics say are anti-transgender

Two bills have been introduced in the Ohio General Assembly that would prohibit transgender girls and women from playing girls and women s sports. COLUMBUS, Ohio – State lawmakers in both chambers have introduced bills to prohibit transgender girls and women from playing girls’ and women’s sports in high school and college.
Instead, under Ohio House Bill 61 and Senate Bill 132, the athletes would have to play on boys’ and men’s teams, even if they no longer identify with that gender and have medically transitioned.
