James (Jim) Prondzinski beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away at home on May 18, 2023, with his loving wife by his side. Jim was born on July 16, 1942, in Grafton, North Dakota, to John and Stella Prondzinski. He graduated from St. James High School in Grand Forks and the University of North Dakota in 1965. On July 23, 1966, he married Janice (Jan) Hart, and they began a life of adventure over 56 years. In 1969, Jim attended Officer Candidate School and began a career as an Army Intelligence Officer. Lieutenant Colonel Prondzinski retired in 1990 after 22 years of intriguing intelligence assignments. Jim then accepted the position as the Technical Director of Intelligence for the Coast Guard and thoroughly enjoyed solving real time intelligence issues. Upon r etiring in 2005, Jim and Jan spent summers at their cottage on Pelican Lake in Minnesota and winters at their home at Westbrook Village in Peoria, AZ.
